The Civil Procedure (Amendment No.4) Rules 2021
The rule 12 of the Civil Procedure Rules has been amended, with the amendment due to come into force on 7 August 2021.
Part 83.8A confirms that if a court awards a landlord possession for their property, a notice of eviction should be delivered to the property no less than 14 days before the writ or warrant is due to be carried out. If the writ or warrant does not proceed on the specified day, a further seven days notice is required before the eviction can be completed.
