Consultation for more information when advertising a property.

When advertising a property for sale or to let on agents’ websites, or on portals like Zoopla or On the Market, the agent is required to include key details. This is a requirement made by the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. Key details would include information like location, price, how many bedrooms, bathrooms, EPC rating to name a few.

National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agents (NTSELAT) have launched a consultation as they feel that not all agents or portals are consistent with information when advertising a property. They are asking agents to have their say as to what they feel the minimum information should be when advertising a property. This could include broadband speed, council tax band or floor plans and room measurements.
