Firstly, in Wales the longer “Coronavirus” notices have been extended from 30 June to the 30 September. Unlike in England, Wales has not changed the notice periods so almost all notices remain at 6 months.

Secondly, in England the temporary Coronavirus Right to Rent checks, which were due to end at the end of June, have been extended, due to the extended general lockdown, till the end of August.

Thirdly, the Fire Safety Act was passed in May this year and the Welsh Government have announced they will commence it from the Autumn this year. This amends the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order and will require fire risk assessments on multi occupancy dwellings, even if they have no common parts.
